The Settlement Process

    On the day of settlement, or perhaps the day before, we receive the lender's instructions for your mortgage loan.  We draft the settlement statement in accordance with those instructions and the contract, and prepare all other necessary closing documents.  When the settlement statement has been approved by the lender, we fax it to the real estate agents and the mortgage broker.  They review it and call you to advise you of the exact amount of the cashier's check to bring to settlement.


        At the appointed hour, you, the sellers, and the real estate agents all meet with one of our experienced settlement agents to close the transaction.  All documents are signed only after they have been completely explained to you and any required adjustments are made.  The survey, title, and loan documents are thoroughly reviewed so that you understand all aspects of the purchase or refinance.  You receive a copy of everything you signed, your parking ticket is validated, and your part in the transaction is completed
